What it does

This skill is for game projects that use a structured design-document workflow. When installed, the agent can review bugs marked fixed, check whether a regression test exists for each one, and compare the game's design documents against existing tests to find critical paths with no coverage. It writes a curated list of existing tests to tests/regression-suite.md, and its modes (update, audit, report) decide whether it changes files or only reports status. The file is truncated, so some later steps are not visible.

Great for

  • Game developers running a sprint process who want every bug fix backed by a test
  • QA leads preparing a phase gate that requires a regression suite
  • Teams wanting a read-only coverage status report for sprint reviews

Skip it if

  • Projects without design documents, a systems index, or a bug-tracking folder in the expected layout, since the skill depends on those paths; it will mostly report missing files
  • Teams wanting it to write or run tests itself; the visible instructions only curate and map existing tests, and the file is truncated so the full scope is unverified
  • Non-game software, since the instructions are built around game design documents and QA stages

Try asking

  • “Run /regression-suite update to check whether this sprint's bug fixes have regression tests”
  • “Run /regression-suite audit to compare all game design critical paths against existing test coverage”
  • “Run /regression-suite report for a read-only coverage summary before a sprint review”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    regression-suite.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip regression-suite.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip regression-suite.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Use the report mode first, since it makes no writes, to see what the skill would find before running update or audit
  • Set qa.level in the project configuration; at minimal the skill stops without scanning
  • Keep bug files in production/qa/bugs with a clear Status field so the skill can filter closed and fixed bugs
