What it does
When installed, the agent reviews a game's balance data files and design document to look for values that fall outside their intended ranges, strategies that dominate all others, stalled progression, and economy imbalances like unbounded resource loops. It produces a structured report with a health verdict. If the required data or design targets are missing, it is instructed to report 'NOT ASSESSED' rather than guess.
Great for
- Game designers tuning combat, economy, progression or loot systems
- Game developers who keep balance numbers in YAML or data files and want a second look
- Teams with a design document and registry who want values checked against stated targets
Skip it if
- Projects without balance data files or a design document, because the skill is built to return NOT ASSESSED in that case and gives no real analysis
- Final balance decisions on live games, since the analysis depends on the accuracy of the targets it is given and on the agent's reasoning, not on playtesting or simulation
Try asking
- “Check game balance for the combat system”
- “Find economy imbalances in the crafting resource data”
- “Look for degenerate strategies in the weapons progression file”
- “Check the loot rarity and pity timer math in assets/data”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run /design-system first so the registry and GDD contain explicit numeric targets; without them most sections will be NOT ASSESSED
- Pass a specific system name or data file path as the argument to keep the analysis focused
- Treat the Health Summary as a starting point and verify flagged outliers with real playtest or simulation data
