What it does
When invoked, this skill tells the agent to produce a launch-readiness checklist for a game project, covering code, content, store, marketing, community, infrastructure, legal and sign-offs. It first reads the project's config to decide which items apply (by stage, rigor and target certification tier) and marks unknown items as not assessed rather than silently including them. It also scans the codebase for leftover TODO/FIXME/HACK comments, debug output, placeholder assets and hardcoded test values, reporting how many files were searched so an empty result is not mistaken for a clean one.
Great for
- Indie or small studio game developers preparing a release or Steam/itch.io launch
- Producers or leads who want a documented go/no-go gate before shipping
- Teams that already keep config and milestone files in the repository described by the skill
Skip it if
- Non-game software projects, since the checklist is written around game platforms and certification (the skill is not a general release checklist)
- Projects with no config or milestone files, where many items will remain NOT ASSESSED and the output will be partial
- Treating the output as an official certification or legal sign-off; it is a generated list that a human must verify
Try asking
- “Run a launch checklist for a launch date of 2025-03-01”
- “Do a dry-run launch checklist for my Steam project”
- “Check launch readiness across code, store and legal before we ship”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Set project.stage, modes.rigor and platform.cert_tier in your config first, so the checklist is scoped correctly and does not list every certification track.
- Use the dry-run argument to see the checklist without creating sign-off entries or writing files.
- Treat [?] items as work you still need to verify, not as passed checks.
