What it does

When you are stuck or unsure what to do next on a game project, this skill checks your project's current phase (concept, design, production, and so on) by reading config files, session notes, and project artifacts. It then lists which steps are complete, incomplete, or unknown, and suggests what to do next. It is designed as a lightweight check, not a full audit, and it does not write any files.

Great for

  • Game developers using the Claude Code Game Studios framework who lose track of pipeline steps
  • Solo creators who want a quick checkpoint on what remains before moving to the next phase

Skip it if

  • Projects not using this studio workflow catalog, since the skill depends on specific files like workflow-catalog.yaml and would find little to report
  • Full project gap analysis, which the skill itself says is better done with /project-stage-detect

Try asking

  • “What should I do next?”
  • “I finished design-review, what's left?”
  • “I'm stuck on ADRs, where should I go from here?”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Studio Help: What Next?Install, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    help.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip help.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip help.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Pass a short hint about what you just finished, such as 'finished design-review', to get a more personalized answer.
  • Treat items marked UNKNOWN or MANUAL as things to check yourself, since the skill cannot verify them automatically.
  • Run /project-stage-detect if you want a thorough gap analysis rather than a quick pointer.
