What it does
This skill makes an AI agent act as a cross-checker for a game design project. It reads a registry of game entities (characters, items, formulas, constants) and searches the design documents for mentions of those names, flagging places where a stated value, such as a price or weight, conflicts with the registry. It produces a conflict report and can propose or make registry corrections. It is built for a larger workflow in the Claude Code Game Studios template, where it runs after design documents are written and before other review steps.
Great for
- Game teams using the Claude Code Game Studios setup who keep many design documents in design/gdd/
- Designers or developers who want to catch contradictory numbers across documents before building on them
Skip it if
- Projects without an entity registry at design/registry/entities.yaml, since the skill stops with a NOT ASSESSED verdict and checks nothing
- Anyone expecting a full logical review of design quality; it only compares names and values, and grep-based searching can miss conflicts described in different wording
Try asking
- “Run a full consistency check across all my game design documents against the entity registry”
- “Check only the entity named Healing Potion for conflicting values in my design docs”
- “Check only design documents changed since the last cross-review report”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Populate the entity registry first, otherwise the skill has nothing to compare against.
- Use the entity:<name> or item:<name> arguments for quick checks on a single value instead of a full scan.
- Review any proposed registry corrections yourself before accepting them, since the skill can edit files.
