What it does
When an agent is first connected to a new chat channel, this skill tells it to send a friendly introduction, state its name, and offer to show what it can do. Instead of listing everything at once, it reveals capabilities one at a time (memory, spawning helper agents, scheduled tasks, web research, coding, interactive buttons, file output, and adding tools), then explains that sensitive actions need the user's approval and that nobody can talk to the agent without the owner's permission. It also asks the agent to note the user's recurring domains and feedback in its memory files.
Great for
- Developers setting up a NanoClaw-style assistant who want a polished first-run experience for new channel users
- Teams deploying a chat-based agent to Slack or similar workplace channels who want a consistent onboarding message
Skip it if
- Anyone expecting a general-purpose skill: it only shapes the first conversation on a newly wired channel and does not add new abilities
- Setups where the onboarding text must match a fixed legal or compliance script, since the agent improvises wording and may overstate capabilities it does not actually have
Try asking
- “Automatically triggered when a new Slack or chat channel is first connected to the agent”
- “A new user sends their first message and the agent introduces itself and asks whether they want to explore or dive in”
- “A workplace channel receives a more professional welcome via the channel addendum file”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Install it inside a NanoClaw-style container where channel wiring triggers the skill, since the instructions assume that environment (memory files, MCP tools, approval prompts)
- Review the capability descriptions in SKILL.md and edit them so the claims match what your deployment actually supports, such as web browsing or deployment to Vercel
- Optional channel addendum files can tailor the welcome per platform; check them before use since they change what the agent says
