What it does

This skill installs clidash, a small local web dashboard for a NanoClaw setup. It reads the output of NanoClaw's ncl command-line tool and session databases and shows them as tabs and tables, plus activity charts, a log tail, and a read-only file viewer. It is designed to only view data, not change it. Setup involves copying a folder, creating a config file, and running a local Node server.

Great for

  • NanoClaw operators who want a visual overview of agent groups, sessions and message volume
  • Developers who want a zero-dependency read-only monitoring page for a CLI that outputs JSON

Skip it if

  • Anyone not running NanoClaw, since the default config is wired to its ncl CLI and session files
  • Anyone wanting to expose the dashboard publicly, since it has no authentication and relies on the network binding for access control

Try asking

  • “Install clidash for my NanoClaw setup and show me how to run it locally”
  • “Set up the clidash systemd service bound to my tailnet IP”
  • “Add a docker CLI tab to my clidash config”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    add-clidash.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip add-clidash.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip add-clidash.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Keep the server bound to 127.0.0.1 or a private tailnet IP; never bind a public interface because there is no login.
  • Review clidash.config.json before running so you know which CLIs, log files and doc folders are exposed.
  • Run the included npm test first; it uses a stub CLI and needs no real ncl or docker.
