What it does

This skill walks an AI agent through linking the claude-mem memory plugin to your personal cmem.ai account. You give the agent three values from the cmem.ai Connect page, and it saves them into the plugin's configuration file so the plugin's hooks can capture and recall memory. It also checks that the connection works, without displaying your secret token.

  • Developers setting up memory sync on a machine that also runs a local claude-mem install

  • People without a cmem.ai account, since there are no credentials to enter (the skill cannot create one)

Get better results

  • Paste the whole cmem.ai Connect blurb and let the agent extract the values, or provide the sync token at minimum since the other two are optional.
  • Expect the status check to show a 404 on /api/hooks/context until Pro endpoints deploy; search and injection still work through /api/mcp.
  • If you prefer not to write credentials to files, set the CMEM_API_KEY, CMEM_USER_ID and CMEM_SYNC_HUB_URL environment variables instead.
