What it does
This skill makes an agent act as a scheduled 'seat' for the claude-mem memory plugin. Once an hour it checks that the local claude-mem worker is healthy, pulls recent notable observations (decisions, bugfixes, security alerts) through claude-mem's search tools, and stores them in a separate cache file, avoiding duplicates. It can also exclude or restore specific observations in that cache, and compare configuration layers (house, project, seat rules) to flag conflicts in an append-only report.
Great for
- Developers already running claude-mem who want an hourly curated cache of key observations
- Teams maintaining layered agent rule files who want conflict reports between house, project and seat rules
Skip it if
- Users without a local claude-mem worker installed, since every step depends on it
- Anyone expecting it to delete history or enforce rules: the SKILL.md states it does neither; exclude marks only filter the compiled cache
Try asking
- “Run CCS Align and refresh the middle cache”
- “Exclude this observation from the middle cache and later restore it”
- “Check rules conflicts between house, project and seat rules”
- “Check the Worker Watch board status”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Check that CLAUDE_MEM_CCS_ALIGN_ENABLED is true and the worker is running before the first cycle
- Leave CLAUDE_MEM_CCS_ALIGN_PATCH_SHADOWS false unless you want the rules walker to modify shadowed leaf files
- Remember that excluding an observation only removes it from middle.jsonl; the underlying diary and database remain intact
