What it does
This skill walks an agent through adding WhatsApp as a messaging channel for NanoClaw, an agent framework. It copies a WhatsApp adapter from a separate branch, registers it, installs pinned WhatsApp Web client packages, builds and runs a test, and then guides you through linking a WhatsApp account by scanning a QR code or entering a pairing code on your phone. It also asks whether you will use a dedicated or shared number and warns about ban risk if you choose a shared one. An optional helper script shows the QR code in a local browser page.
Great for
- Developers running NanoClaw who want their agent reachable over WhatsApp
- People willing to dedicate a spare SIM or old phone number to an agent
Skip it if
- Connecting a personal everyday WhatsApp number: WhatsApp may suspend or ban that account, and the agent would only be reachable in your self-chat
- Non-technical users without a working NanoClaw install: the steps assume a pnpm build and terminal use
- Production business messaging: the skill itself points to the official Meta Business API skill for that
Try asking
- “Add WhatsApp to my NanoClaw install using a dedicated number”
- “Link WhatsApp by pairing code instead of QR”
- “Show me the WhatsApp pairing QR in my browser”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Choose a dedicated number before starting; the skill warns against shared numbers and you should heed it
- Use the browser QR helper on macOS or desktop Linux, since the ASCII terminal QR is hard to scan
