What it does
This skill adds WeChat as a messaging channel for NanoClaw, an agent host. It fetches a WeChat adapter from a git branch, installs a pinned client library, and has you log in by scanning a QR code with your phone. Once connected, people who message your WeChat account can talk to your agent, and a helper script connects those chats to an agent group.
Great for
- Developers who already run NanoClaw and want a personal WeChat bot
- People comfortable editing config files, restarting services and reading logs
Skip it if
- Non-technical users, since setup involves a terminal, systemd or launchd, and a running host service
- Anyone wanting WeChat business or Official Account integration, because this uses the personal iLink Bot API and not WeCom or Official Accounts
- Shared or high-stakes accounts: the auth file grants access to your WeChat account and should not be exposed or run from multiple instances
Try asking
- “Add WeChat as a channel to my NanoClaw setup”
- “Wire my WeChat direct messages to my main agent group”
- “Help me troubleshoot the WeChat QR login and session expired errors”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run the test step and confirm it passes before starting the service, and check the logs for the QR URL.
- Keep data/wechat/auth.json private and never commit it; it holds your login credentials.
- Start with the default sender policy or request_approval so strangers cannot use your agent freely.
