What it does

Adds a Linear connector to NanoClaw so the agent can read and reply to comments on a Linear team's issues. Once installed, every new comment on those issues triggers the agent, without needing an @-mention. The skill copies a Linear adapter from a separate branch of the repository, adds its registration line, installs a pinned npm package, runs a build and test, and then asks the user for Linear credentials and a team key to write into a .env file.

Great for

  • Development teams who already run NanoClaw and want an agent to respond to Linear issue comments
  • Admins setting up a private Linear workspace where only members can comment
  • Users comfortable creating a Linear OAuth app and webhook

Skip it if

  • Anyone using a public Linear workspace without setting a strict sender policy, since outside users could trigger the agent
  • People who do not run NanoClaw; this skill only applies inside that codebase
  • Users who do not want credentials stored in a local .env file and synced into the agent container

Try asking

  • “Set up the Linear channel so the agent answers comments on my ENG team's issues”
  • “Add Linear integration using a Personal API key instead of an OAuth app”
  • “Wire the Linear team to my support agent folder with a strict sender policy”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Linear Channel IntegrationInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 3 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    add-linear.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip add-linear.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip add-linear.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Use the OAuth app route so the agent posts under its own identity; with a Personal API key, your own comments are filtered and the agent posts as you.
  • Choose the sender policy carefully: public for a private workspace, strict for a public one.
  • Run the build and test steps and confirm they pass before entering credentials or wiring the team.
