What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to connect NanoClaw, an agent framework, to iMessage so the agent can read and reply to messages. It walks the agent through picking one of two backends: reading the signed-in iMessage account on a Mac, or using a hosted iMessage line through photon.codes that works on any OS. The agent then copies the channel code, installs a pinned package, runs build and test checks, and in the local case asks you to grant Full Disk Access.
Great for
- Developers running NanoClaw who want their agent reachable over iMessage
- Mac users who want the agent to use their own iMessage account locally
- Non-Mac users who want a hosted iMessage line instead
Skip it if
- Anyone who wants iMessage access without granting Full Disk Access to Node, since the local backend reads the entire chat history on that Mac
- Users not already running the NanoClaw project, because the steps depend on its build, test and config scripts
Try asking
- “Add iMessage to NanoClaw using the local backend on my Mac”
- “Connect NanoClaw to iMessage through photon.codes hosted service”
- “Re-run the iMessage setup to repair a broken local install”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Choose hosted if you are not on a Mac, since the local backend cannot run elsewhere.
- Review the pinned package versions and the configure script before running the skill.
- Grant Full Disk Access only to the Node binary the skill identifies, and revoke it when you no longer need iMessage.
