What it does

When you think another Qwen Code session on your computer has frozen or become very slow, this skill tells the agent to look at that session's running process. The agent checks CPU and memory use, whether the process is waiting on input/output or has been stopped, and whether it has hung child processes, then writes a diagnostic report. It can focus on one process ID if you give one, and it reads runtime and debug log files to help explain what went wrong.

Great for

  • Developers running several Qwen Code sessions who have one that stopped responding
  • Users who accidentally pressed Ctrl+Z and want to know if a session is just paused
  • Anyone trying to find out whether a slow session is hogging CPU or memory

Skip it if

  • Problems with other programs or with the operating system in general, since the skill only looks at Qwen Code processes
  • Users on shared machines who should not have their session details inspected without permission, since it reads process and log data for the current user
  • Situations where you need to change or kill processes, because the skill is written to diagnose and report rather than fix

Try asking

  • “/stuck”
  • “/stuck 12345”
  • “My Qwen Code session seems frozen, can you check what is going on?”
  • “Why is one of my Qwen sessions using so much memory and CPU?”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Stuck Session DiagnosticsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    stuck.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip stuck.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip stuck.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give a PID (for example /stuck 12345) when you know which session is stuck, so the agent skips the broad scan.
  • Describe the symptom in words if you do not know the PID; the agent will use it as guidance for the report.
  • Review the report before acting on it, since the agent may suggest stopping processes that you should decide on yourself.
