What it does
This skill guides an AI agent through copying a feature from another coding agent (Codex or Claude Code) into the Qwen Code repo. The agent runs the reference tool itself under a local proxy that records the prompts, tool definitions and request bodies it sends to the model, uses tmux to capture terminal screens, and snapshots the reference tool's local config folder before and after so changes can be compared. From these recordings it writes down the behavior to match and implements the smallest compatible version in Qwen Code with tests.
Great for
- Maintainers of Qwen Code or similar CLI agents who want parity with a feature in Codex or Claude Code
- Developers studying how a reference agent builds its prompts and tool schemas for local analysis
Skip it if
- Anyone wanting a general coding helper unrelated to matching another agent's behavior (the workflow is narrow)
- Use on machines with unrelated secrets or on captured traffic shared publicly, since recordings can contain prompts, code and credentials that need manual redaction
Try asking
- “Reproduce the Codex slash command for reviewing diffs in Qwen Code”
- “Capture how Claude Code formats its tool schemas for a file-edit feature and implement a matching one”
- “Snapshot ~/.codex state before and after a scenario and summarize what changed”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip agent-reproduce-feature.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip agent-reproduce-feature.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Use a fresh output directory per run under .repro-runs/ and keep it out of git
- Review state-diff.md and http.jsonl for tokens or private code before copying any excerpt into tracked files
- Read references/capture-workflow.md before the first capture, especially for TLS certificate trust issues
