What it does

After a feature has been built in Qwen Code, this skill makes the agent run the same scenario through a chosen reference agent (Codex or Claude Code) and through Qwen Code, recording the web requests and terminal output of each. It then normalizes and compares the two recordings, focusing on tool names, argument schemas, required fields, and model settings rather than exact wording, and guides the agent to patch Qwen Code and rerun until the user-visible behavior is close enough.

Great for

  • Maintainers of Qwen Code adding features that mirror Codex or Claude Code behavior
  • Developers checking that a new tool or slash command matches a reference agent's contract
  • Contributors who need redacted, minimal trace fixtures for parity tests

Skip it if

  • Ordinary users who only want to use Qwen Code: it assumes a repo checkout and local agent installs
  • Runs with sensitive data or live credentials: captured HTTP traces may contain prompts, keys or account details, and the skill relies on the user to redact them
  • Projects unrelated to Qwen Code parity: the workflow is specific to matching a reference agent

Try asking

  • “Compare how Qwen Code and Codex send tool schemas for a new file-edit feature”
  • “Run the same /help scenario under Claude Code and Qwen Code and diff the terminal output”
  • “Normalize an existing HTTP trace and check which required fields differ from the reference”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Agent Reproduce AlignInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 5 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    agent-reproduce-align.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip agent-reproduce-align.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip agent-reproduce-align.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Start with one small, simple scenario and rerun only the smallest failing case after each patch
  • Redact captured traces before saving any fixture into the repo, since they can include prompts and keys
  • Read references/alignment-workflow.md before the first comparison pass, as the skill instructs
