What it does

When installed, the agent turns a rough feature idea or bug description into a structured GitHub issue for the QwenLM/qwen-code project. It searches the codebase and existing issues for context, follows the repo's issue template, and saves a draft file for you to review. It only submits the issue after you explicitly approve, then reports back the issue link. The English draft is followed by a Chinese translation in a collapsible section.

Great for

  • Contributors to the qwen-code repository who want to file well-structured feature requests or bug reports quickly
  • Maintainers who want consistent issue formatting, labels, and bilingual content

Skip it if

  • Projects other than qwen-code: the template paths, labels, and bilingual rules are specific to this repository and would need rewriting
  • Users who want to file issues without reviewing them: the skill is designed to wait for approval, and posting publicly is hard to undo

Try asking

  • “Create an issue for a feature request: add a --json output flag to the list command”
  • “File a bug report: the config loader crashes when the settings file is empty”
  • “Draft an issue for a slow file search on large repositories and check for duplicates first”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Create GitHub IssueInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    create-issue.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip create-issue.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip create-issue.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give a clear, specific description of the problem or feature so the investigation finds the right code.
  • Read the draft in .qwen/issues/ carefully before approving, since submission publishes it publicly under your account.
  • Check the chosen labels and Chinese translation during review, as the skill applies labels automatically based on type.
