Lets an agent manage Google Chat spaces, members and messages via the gws CLI

What it does
Once installed, the agent knows how to work with Google Chat through the gws command-line tool. It can list, create, update and delete Chat spaces, look up direct messages, manage custom emoji, and upload or download message attachments. Before calling any method it is told to look up the exact parameters with gws schema, so it builds requests from the official API definitions rather than guessing.
Great for
- Workspace admins who want an assistant to organise or clean up Chat spaces
- Developers automating Google Chat workflows from the command line
- Teams who already use gws and want the agent to act on their Chat account
Skip it if
- Anyone without a Google Workspace or Chat account, since it acts on real accounts and data (requires authenticated access)
- Situations needing destructive changes without review: delete removes a space and all its messages and memberships with no undo described
Try asking
- “List the Chat spaces I am a member of and tell me which ones have had no activity recently”
- “Create a named space called Q3 Launch and add alice@example.com and bob@example.com to it”
- “Find my direct message space with Priya and show me its details”
- “Upload the file report.pdf as an attachment to the space with ID spaces/AAA”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run gws chat --help or gws schema chat.<resource>.<method> first so the agent uses correct flags
- Ask for a dry run or a list of matching items before any delete or patch, since deletes cascade
- Install the gws-shared skill too, since this one depends on its auth and security rules
