What it does
When you want an AI coding agent to keep working toward a result, this skill makes it write a precise, checkable goal statement instead of a vague one. The goal lists one outcome, numbered pass/fail checks that the agent must prove with command output or file evidence, things not to touch, a stopping budget, and what to do if blocked. It only drafts the text for the /goal command and does not do the work itself or edit files.
Great for
- Developers using Qwen Code who want long-running agent goals to finish with verifiable evidence
- Teams writing reusable, testable completion criteria for autonomous agent runs
- Anyone whose vague goal keeps looping because the verifier cannot tell when it is done
Skip it if
- Simple one-off tasks, where a goal adds overhead and the agent should just do the work
- Design or product judgement calls that cannot be checked from the agent's own output, since the skill will say no to these
- Goals that would need the agent to push, delete or publish without clear limits, because the skill only drafts text and the user must still approve what runs
Try asking
- “/goal-draft make the login tests pass without weakening any test”
- “/goal-draft migrate the config loader to the new schema and make the build succeed”
- “/goal-draft keep going until the CHANGELOG is updated and lint is clean”
- “/goal-draft tighten this goal: fix flaky checkout tests”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name the exact check command you want (for example, npm test) so the skill can use it verbatim instead of asking.
- Say how long the agent should try before stopping as blocked, and which files or actions are off limits.
- Give the goal in your own words; the skill will ask at most one round of questions, so answer them in one reply.
