What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to look for new capabilities it doesn't already have. When you ask for something like "find a skill for X," the agent first checks skills already installed, then searches the skills.sh leaderboard and the Skills CLI, compares install counts and source reputation, and proposes an option for you to approve. Only after you confirm does it download and install the new skill into its skill folder.
Great for
- Developers who want to extend a Horizon or other SKILL.md-based agent with community skills
- Teams evaluating which third-party skills are popular and reputable before adopting them
- Users who want the agent to suggest ready-made skills for common tasks like React performance or changelogs
Skip it if
- Installing skills from unknown sources without review, since the skill relies on install counts and star counts as trust signals, which can be gamed or misleading
- Environments without Node.js or npx, where the CLI route fails and only manual copy-paste of SKILL.md content works
- Simply listing skills you already have, which the skill explicitly says to avoid
Try asking
- “Find a skill for reviewing pull requests”
- “Is there a skill that helps me write a changelog?”
- “Find a skill to make my React app faster”
- “Help me create a custom skill for my team's deployment checklist”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Ask the agent to explain the proposed skill and its source before approving the install
- Prefer skills from official organisations and those with high install counts, and review the SKILL.md content yourself since installed skills can instruct the agent to take actions
- Check the skill's source repository and stars manually, because the agent's trust heuristics are simple thresholds
