What it does
When installed, this skill makes the agent follow a structured, eight-phase process for adding a substantial feature to the qwen-code project: investigate the existing code, write a design document, plan end-to-end tests, dry-run those tests against the current baseline, implement the change, verify it with tests, self-audit and review the diff, and optionally open a draft pull request. Each phase must produce a written artifact that feeds the next, so the agent works more methodically than it would on an ad hoc request.
Great for
- Maintainers or contributors implementing a non-trivial qwen-code feature that touches multiple files
- Teams that want design docs and E2E test plans written before code changes
- Developers who want a repeatable review and iteration loop for agent-written changes
Skip it if
- Small bug fixes or one-line changes, since the process is heavy and designed for non-trivial work
- Projects other than qwen-code, because it references qwen-code paths, the qwen CLI, npm scripts and AGENTS.md; it would need adapting
- Non-developers, because it assumes familiarity with TypeScript builds, tmux-based E2E tests and pull request conventions
Try asking
- “Implement a new slash command in qwen-code using the feat-dev workflow”
- “Investigate and design a change to how qwen-code handles tool permissions, then write the E2E test plan”
- “Add a new CLI parameter to qwen-code, go through the full feature workflow, and prepare a draft PR”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip feat-dev.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip feat-dev.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run this inside the qwen-code repository so the referenced paths, scripts and AGENTS.md exist; the skill is not useful standalone
- Review the design doc and E2E test plan before allowing implementation, since the workflow depends on their accuracy
- Expect phase 8 (commit, push, PR) to be skipped unless you explicitly ask for it
