What it does
This skill is a step in a company-style decision workflow for AI agents. After a founder approves a board memo, the agent turns it into a structured decision record: the option chosen, rejected alternatives, success and kill criteria, preserved dissent, and a 90-day review date. It saves approved decisions separately from raw meeting transcripts, so unresolved debates are not mistaken for decisions in later sessions. It also schedules a revisit and can write to an optional wiki vault.
Great for
- Founders or small teams running the c-level-agents advisory pipeline who want decisions recorded consistently
- People who want a written audit trail of why a choice was made and who disagreed
- Teams that review past decisions at a fixed checkpoint
Skip it if
- Anyone without the surrounding c-level-agents plugin: the commands and referenced files (boardroom, decision-logger, cs-chief-of-staff) are needed for it to work as described
- Quick personal choices or unapproved drafts, since the skill expects a memo with APPROVED status and writes permanent-style records to the home directory
- Sensitive strategy notes where storing decision records in ~/.claude or an external vault is not acceptable without review
Try asking
- “/c-level-agents:decide ./memos/pricing-memo.md”
- “Log the approved memo from our boardroom session as a company decision”
- “Record this hiring decision with success and kill criteria and a 90-day review”

No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Make sure the memo's status line says APPROVED before running, since the workflow checks for it
- Keep the memo's success and kill criteria specific (metric, threshold, timeframe) so the later audit can use them
- Review the stored files in ~/.claude/decisions/ periodically, because they persist across sessions and may contain sensitive strategy
