What it does

When you ask your AI agent what isn't tested, this skill tells it to map the app's pages, components and API endpoints, then compare them against existing Playwright test files (*.spec.ts / *.spec.js). The agent produces a coverage table, ranks untested areas from critical to low priority, and suggests how many tests each gap needs. It can optionally generate those missing tests by calling a separate /pw:generate command.

Great for

  • Developers who maintain a web app with Playwright end-to-end tests and want to know what is missing
  • QA engineers planning which areas to test first before a release
  • Teams inheriting an existing app with unclear test coverage

Skip it if

  • Projects that don't use Playwright or spec files, since the scan is built around those files and the skill has no other test-framework support
  • Measuring line or branch coverage numbers; the skill estimates coverage from routes and page.goto() calls, not from instrumented code, so its percentage is a rough guess
  • Apps where you want changes made automatically without review, since the optional test generation depends on another command and the skill asks before generating

Try asking

  • “What's not tested in this app?”
  • “Give me a coverage gap report for our checkout and auth flows”
  • “Which pages are missing tests? Rank them by business impact”
  • “Generate tests for the top 3 coverage gaps”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    coverage.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip coverage.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip coverage.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Run it from the root of the project so the agent can find route definitions, API files and spec files together
  • Treat the coverage percentage as an estimate and check the matrix against your real test results
  • Review generated tests before committing them, and say which gaps to fill rather than accepting all
