What it does
This skill turns the coding agent into a team leader that splits a goal into separate investigation tasks and hands each to a named teammate. Teammates are limited to read-only work, so they can look at code but cannot run shell commands or edit files. When changes are needed, one writer teammate works in an isolated Git worktree while the leader reviews and decides what to merge. It only runs when a user explicitly types /coordinate.
Great for
- Developers using Qwen Code who want parallel code investigation split across several agents
- Teams that need an audit or research task covered from several angles before a single implementation
- Users who want clear review control, with the leader checking every result before changes are accepted
Skip it if
- Simple, narrow tasks, because the coordination overhead outweighs the benefit (a single agent is faster)
- Environments where experimental.agentTeam is not enabled, since the team tools will be unavailable and only plain subagents are offered as a fallback
- Users who expect the Arena competing-solutions mode; the skill explicitly says Arena is not for this
Try asking
- “/coordinate investigate why the login tests fail intermittently and propose a fix”
- “/coordinate audit our API error handling across the three services and summarise the gaps”
- “/coordinate compare how two modules handle caching, then implement the consistent approach”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give a specific goal with clear scope so the leader can split it into genuinely independent workstreams
- Watch the Agent View tabs to follow teammate messages and approve actions
- Review the worktree changes yourself before accepting them, since the writer's output is only verified by the leader
