What it does

When installed, the agent reviews any plan involving AI (choosing a model, EU AI Act risk classification, cost projections, or hiring AI staff) the way a demanding Chief AI Officer would. It asks six questions, such as whether there is an evaluation set before shipping, what the error-rate target and fallback are, and whether API, fine-tuning or self-hosting makes economic sense, then produces a structured report ending in a SHIP, SHARPEN or BLOCK verdict. It refers to bundled Python scripts for the calculations, but the SKILL.md itself only gives guidance and a template.

Great for

  • Founders or product leads deciding whether an AI feature is ready to ship
  • Teams weighing a multi-year AI vendor contract against self-hosting
  • Companies checking whether a use case falls under EU AI Act obligations

Skip it if

  • Legal advice on EU AI Act compliance: the skill gives a rough tier outline and its cost and timeline figures are generic, so a lawyer should confirm any real classification
  • Precise cost forecasts: the skill's breakeven and TCO numbers are rules of thumb unless the referenced scripts are run on real data

Try asking

  • “/c-level-agents:caio-review We want to launch an AI support chatbot next month with no test set yet”
  • “Review our plan to sign a three-year API contract versus self-hosting a 70B model”
  • “Classify our hiring-screening AI under the EU AI Act before EU launch”
  • “Should we hire a research scientist or an AI engineer first for our product?”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    caio-review.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip caio-review.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip caio-review.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give a concrete plan with expected volume, user regions and data type so the questions and scripts have real inputs.
  • Treat the verdict as a structured prompt for discussion, and validate any regulatory or budget figures with specialists.
  • Check the referenced scripts' source code before running them, since the skill tells the agent to execute them.
