What it does
When installed, this skill tells the AI agent to handle a whole software task on its own once you describe what you want in a few lines. The agent works through phases: expanding the idea into a spec, designing, planning, implementing (in parallel where possible), running QA cycles, and getting multi-perspective validation before reporting back. It is designed for hands-off runs that continue until the task is finished, with optional budget limits and resumable progress.
Great for
- Developers who want to hand off a small-to-medium build from idea to tested code
- Solo builders prototyping an app or tool and willing to review the output afterwards
- Teams already using the oh-my-claudecode plugin who want a fully automated workflow
Skip it if
- Brainstorming or exploring options, since the skill is built to execute rather than discuss (use a planning skill instead)
- Quick one-line fixes or small bugs, where the skill's multi-phase process is unnecessary overhead
- Production-critical code without human review, since autonomous runs can produce code that still needs careful checking
Try asking
- “/autopilot build me a simple expense tracker web app with CSV export”
- “autopilot: create a command-line tool that renames photos by date taken”
- “Make me a small REST API for managing a reading list, handle it all”
- “/autopilot --workflow plan-build-qa add dark mode to my existing settings page”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip autopilot.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip autopilot.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give a clear 2-3 line description of the product, including the stack and any constraints, so the spec phase has enough detail
- Use --workflow with a configured profile for a predictable stage sequence, and check that your environment is Linux first
- Review the generated code and tests yourself before deploying, and cancel with /oh-my-claudecode:cancel if a run goes off track
