What it does
Once installed, the agent can manage your Apple Reminders app on a Mac by running the remindctl command-line tool. You can ask it to add a to-do with a due date, show today's or this week's reminders, mark items complete, or create and delete reminder lists, and the items sync to your iPhone or iPad. The skill also tells the agent to ask whether you mean an Apple Reminder or a Brigade alert when you say 'remind me'.
Great for
- Mac users who keep personal to-dos in Apple Reminders and want to manage them by chat
- People who want reminders to sync to their iPhone or iPad from a terminal-based agent
- Developers who want to script reminder data using the JSON or plain output modes
Skip it if
- Calendar events or appointments, which the skill says should go to Apple Calendar instead (wrong tool for the job)
- Scheduling the agent's own timed alerts, which the skill routes to a cron tool instead
- Non-macOS systems, since the skill is limited to macOS (darwin) and needs Apple's Reminders permission
Try asking
- “Remind me to buy milk tomorrow and add it to my Personal list”
- “Show me my overdue reminders”
- “Mark reminders 1, 2 and 3 as complete”
- “Create a Work list called Projects”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run remindctl status and remindctl authorize once to confirm the Reminders permission is granted before relying on the skill
- Use explicit dates like 2026-02-15 09:00 for due times to avoid ambiguity
- Say 'Apple Reminders' explicitly if you want a synced to-do rather than an agent alert
