What it does

Once installed, the agent can act on your X (Twitter) account: post single tweets, threads and media, publish long-form X Articles, search recent tweets, fetch and sweep your bookmarks into GitHub idea-issues, look up profiles, and read tweets. It uses the official X API and the xurl CLI, keeps credentials in one shared token store, and is designed to ask for confirmation before anything is published to your account.

Great for

  • Creators who want to draft and post threads or articles to X from their agent
  • People who want their X bookmarks triaged into a project tracker
  • Developers already set up with an X developer app who want scripted X access

Skip it if

  • Posting the same content to several platforms at once (the skill itself says a different skill handles that)
  • Scraping or bulk-collecting X data beyond what the X API plan allows, which can breach X terms
  • Users without an X developer app and OAuth credentials, since most paths will stop with setup errors

Try asking

  • “Post a thread about my launch from this draft file with the image attached”
  • “Search X for recent tweets from @someone about agent skills”
  • “Check my X bookmarks and turn new useful ones into idea issues”
  • “Look up the X profile for this username and summarise it”
Step-by-step guide: how to use X (Twitter) OperationsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    X.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip X.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip X.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Run the status and dry-run checks in Setup.md first so you know credentials and scopes are working before any real post
  • Always review the draft text before confirming, since posts and published Articles are public and Article publishing cannot be undone through the API
  • Keep your X client secret and token files out of shared folders; the token store is a 0600 file on your machine
