What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent (such as Claude Code) to set up LifeOS, a personal 'Life Operating System' that captures where you are now versus where you want to be (via a TELOS interview) and tracks it on a Pulse dashboard. When asked, the agent detects your OS and harness, proposes hook and settings changes for your approval, creates your user folder, runs an interview to capture your goals, and later can run health checks, updates, uninstalls, or draft bug reports to the project. Every change is meant to be shown first and backed up, with nothing done without an explicit yes.
Great for
- Developers who already use an AI agent harness and want to try LifeOS as a personal goal and context system
- Users who want a guided, reversible first-time install with health checks afterwards
- Maintainers who want a structured way to file LifeOS bug reports or feature requests upstream
Skip it if
- Users who do not want an agent to modify shell rc files, agent settings and hooks on their machine, since installation changes these (reversible, but still system-level)
- Anyone wanting a lightweight skill; this installs a whole system with many components, a dashboard service and optional external tools
- Private release or maintenance work, which the skill explicitly excludes
Try asking
- “Set up LifeOS on my machine and walk me through the install step by step”
- “Run the TELOS interview to onboard me into LifeOS”
- “Check my LifeOS install and tell me what capabilities are broken”
- “File a bug report about this LifeOS problem to the project, showing me the redacted content first”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip LifeOS.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip LifeOS.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review each proposed change before saying yes; the skill says it shows changes first, so read the hook and settings diffs.
- Keep the offered backups of settings and shell rc files until you have confirmed the install works.
- Decline optional components you do not need; the skill reports declined items as declined rather than broken.
