What it does

When installed, the agent answers employment-law questions about overtime, exemption status, meal and rest breaks, leave, and final paycheck timing for a specific state or country. Instead of answering from memory, it is instructed to research the currently operative rule, cite the primary source, note effective dates, and flag close calls for attorney review. It also includes a scaffold for FLSA regular-rate and back-pay calculations, which it says must not be done as simple hourly wage times overtime hours.
