What it does

When invoked, this skill tells the agent to run the Level 2 dummy-agent integration test suite in the Hive repository, either the full suite or a chosen test file. It then gathers the JUnit XML, console output and summary table, and writes a styled HTML report to /tmp listing every test with its inputs, expected outcome, actual outcome and any failure traceback. It is aimed at maintainers who want a readable record of a test run rather than raw pytest output.

Great for

  • Maintainers of the Hive repository who want a shareable HTML summary of integration test runs
  • Developers debugging a failing component test who need per-test input and outcome detail

Skip it if

  • Users without a Claude Code subscription or configured LLM provider, since the single-file path raises an error without one and the full run depends on provider detection
  • Anyone expecting a quick unit test run, because these tests call a real LLM and can be slow and costly

Try asking

  • “/test-reporting”
  • “/test-reporting test_component_queen_live.py”
  • “/test-reporting --all”
  • “Run the integration tests and give me an HTML report of which ones failed and why”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    test-reporting.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip test-reporting.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip test-reporting.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Pick a single test file first to keep runtime and LLM usage down before running the full suite
  • Check that a provider is configured beforehand, since the skill's own setup fails without one
  • Review the generated report before sharing it, as it may include prompts and tracebacks from the run
