What it does

When a presentation deck has been imported into OpenMAIC, this skill makes the agent write new lesson pages that match that deck's look: its colours, fonts, backgrounds and page layout. It does this by duplicating a suitable source page for each new page and rewriting only the text, element by element, so the original design is kept. The learner sees a course that appears to come from one author, and the imported pages are used only as templates.

Great for

  • Teachers or course creators who want new material to match a well-designed deck they already have
  • Anyone building a multi-page course in a consistent style borrowed from one reference deck
  • Users of the OpenMAIC platform who already have a .pptx imported into a stage

Skip it if

  • Straight imports that must stay identical to the original file, because the pptx-import skill is the right tool for that
  • Copying how a teacher speaks from a recording or handout, because that is the teacher-style-clone skill; the two can be combined
  • Reusing another creator's deck commercially or without permission, since the skill copies their visual design closely

Try asking

  • “Use the style of this imported deck to teach a 5-page lesson on photosynthesis”
  • “Build a new course on fractions with the same layouts and colours as the uploaded slides”
  • “Create three new pages in the reference deck's design covering the French Revolution”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Deck Style CloningInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    style-clone.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip style-clone.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip style-clone.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Import the source deck first, or provide the .pptx, so the agent has layouts to copy from
  • Give a clear topic and page count so the agent can plan which source layout fits each page
  • Review the finished pages, since the agent may need to repair pages whose layout breaks after text changes
