What it does

This is a reference workflow for removing, temporarily disabling, or re-enabling community skills that were previously installed through the claude-for-legal builder hub. Once installed, the agent checks an install log, shows you exactly which files it will change, and only acts after you type an explicit yes. It refuses to touch the built-in legal plugins and never deletes your configuration by default.

Great for

  • Lawyers or legal teams who installed community skills and want to clean them up safely
  • Developers maintaining the claude-for-legal hub who need a consistent uninstall/disable process
  • Users who want a skill paused (for example, scheduled agents stopped) without losing it

Skip it if

  • Managing the built-in first-party plugins, which this skill explicitly refuses to change (use the /plugin command instead)
  • Skills that were not installed through the hub, since the install log check will refuse them
  • Anyone expecting it to remove configuration files automatically; those are kept unless you ask, so leftover data may remain

Try asking

  • “Uninstall the community skill I added last month from the legal builder hub”
  • “Disable the contract-review community skill so its scheduled agents stop running”
  • “Re-enable the community skill I disabled last week”
  • “Show me which files would be deleted before removing a community skill”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Skill ManagerInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    skill-manager.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip skill-manager.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip skill-manager.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Run the skill by naming one skill at a time; it acts on only one skill per invocation.
  • Review the file list it shows before typing yes, and check any preserved config folders if you want a full cleanup.
  • Prefer disable over uninstall if you may want the skill back, since re-enable is supported.
