What it does

This skill gives an AI agent a structured way to track when business contracts renew and when you must send a cancellation notice. It reads a maintained renewal register file, calculates cancel-by dates (adjusting for weekends, holidays, and notice delivery time), and groups upcoming deadlines by urgency over the next 90 days. It can also list deadlines that have already passed without a recorded cancellation, and suggests who to contact before each window closes.

Skip it if

  • Contracts you have not entered into the register: the skill only tracks what is recorded in the YAML file and does not discover renewals on its own unless a legal case-management system is connected.
  • Anyone expecting it to send notices automatically: it calculates and reports deadlines but the files do not show it sending any cancellation.

Get better results

  • Keep the register current: enter the notice period, notice method, and transit buffer for each contract at review time, since alerts depend on those fields.
  • After a contract auto-renews, confirm the prompt to update current_term_end so future cancel-by dates are calculated from the correct term.
  • Verify every computed cancel-by date against the actual notice clause and the contract's business-day definition before acting on it.
