What it does
When installed, the agent can read a LaTeX mathematical proof, look for logical gaps, unjustified steps, hidden assumptions and overstated claims using a fixed taxonomy of issue types, then write out fuller derivations to fix them. It re-reviews the revised proof for up to three rounds and produces an audit log and report. Its base reviews come from a same-family reviewer, so the skill labels them provisional; a semantic acceptance needs a positive review from a different model family.
Great for
- Researchers checking a theory paper's proofs before submission
- Students who want a rigorous line-by-line check of a proof
- Authors who want a documented audit trail of which steps were fixed
Skip it if
- Informal or non-mathematical writing, where the taxonomy does not apply
- Treating its output as a guaranteed correctness certificate, since base reviews are same-family and provisional
- Critical proofs without expert human review, because the reviewer can miss subtle errors
Try asking
- “Check this proof in paper/main.tex and fix any gaps”
- “Verify the proof of Theorem 3 and write an audit report”
- “Review the lemma on dominated convergence for illegal interchanges”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point the skill at the exact .tex file or theorem so the scope of the audit is clear.
- Read PROOF_AUDIT.md and the open issue list yourself; treat provisional acceptance as a flag, not a verdict.
- Pass a reviewer override such as a different backend if you want a second model family to confirm the result.
