What it does

When you are unsure what career, side hustle, or freelance direction to pursue, or want to stand out and not be replaceable, the agent switches to a framework based on Naval Ravikant's ideas. It helps you identify activities that feel like play to you but seem like work to others, checks whether they are hard to train and can be scaled with leverage such as code, media, or products, and then suggests publishing a small piece of work within 30 days and revisiting the direction each quarter. It is a thinking and coaching framework, not a data-driven career test.

Great for

  • People stuck choosing between career, side-income, or freelance options
  • Professionals worried about being replaced and wanting to build a distinctive niche
  • Creators deciding what content or small product to launch

Skip it if

  • People who already have a clear direction and only need execution details, since the skill itself says to give execution advice instead
  • Job applications, resumes, or interview prep, which the skill explicitly excludes (outside its scope)
  • Anyone expecting guaranteed income: the source itself notes that finding special knowledge does not mean the market will pay for it, and the framework assumes capital and early-access advantages that not everyone has

Try asking

  • “Help me figure out my special knowledge or unique advantage based on what I enjoy and what others come to me for”
  • “I don't want to keep doing replaceable work. What direction should I pick for a side business?”
  • “What kind of content or small product could I build that others couldn't easily copy?”
  • “How do I find my moat as a freelancer?”

Get better results

  • Be specific about your background, skills, and what you do for fun; the framework relies on concrete examples
  • Test your candidate strengths by asking people who know you what they think you are best at, as the skill suggests
  • Treat the output as a structured starting point for reflection rather than financial or career advice; the source is in Chinese and the framework is written in Chinese, so ask for English output if needed
