What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent a decision framework based on Naval Ravikant's ideas about happiness. When someone is stuck in a situation they feel they can't change, such as a bad relationship or a difficult coworker, and keeps asking whether to endure it or leave, the agent sorts the options into change, accept, or leave, and warns when none of them is being pursued. For acceptance, it guides a reframing exercise that looks for the positive side of an irritation, and it adds a final check: asking whether the issue still matters if you only had one year left.
Great for
- People who replay the same frustration without acting on it and want a structured way to decide
- Readers curious how a self-help framework from a popular book can be turned into an agent's guidance
Skip it if
- Situations that can be changed cheaply: the skill itself says to change those first rather than use acceptance to avoid action
- Abusive, illegal, or physically dangerous situations: the skill says to leave, and telling someone to accept or reframe could put them at risk
- Replacing professional mental health or legal help, since the skill is a reflection prompt drawn from one book's perspective
Try asking
- “I keep complaining about my manager but never act. Should I put up with it or leave?”
- “Help me decide whether to accept or change a long-distance relationship that's wearing me down”
- “I can't control the weather or traffic and it ruins my day. Help me reframe that”
- “Walk me through the change, accept, or leave options for my situation”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give concrete details about the situation so the agent can judge which of the three options is actually available
- Treat the reframing and mortality checks as prompts for reflection, not as a substitute for practical or professional advice
- Be explicit if the situation involves safety or abuse so the agent flags it as a leave case rather than an acceptance exercise
