What it does

Gathers what your personal system is currently seeing (open work items, graded bookmarks and stories, new notes, open upgrade records, and your TELOS goals) and turns it into a short ranked list of what to work on next, each with a suggested next action and the evidence behind it. It is designed to show these on a Pulse /prioritize page, refreshed roughly every 2 hours, and it only makes a paid model call when the inputs have actually changed. It recommends and explains; it does not create, edit or send anything itself.

Great for

  • People running the LifeOS personal system who want a daily 'what matters most' view
  • Users who want the agent to explain why an item was recommended and then act on it through the skill that owns that action

Skip it if

  • Users without a configured LifeOS install, since every command exits without a Config.json and an OpenAI key is needed for the model step
  • Anyone expecting it to manage tasks or edit goals directly, which it explicitly does not do (the README routes those to other skills), and anyone who would trust its ranking without reviewing the evidence, because the file itself says whether a recommendation is worth doing needs human judgment

Try asking

  • “What should I work on next?”
  • “Refresh my priorities and show the top three”
  • “Why is the second item recommended?”
  • “Dismiss that recommendation”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Prioritize RecommendationsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 5 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    Prioritize.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip Prioritize.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip Prioritize.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Complete Setup.md first, including Config.json and the OpenAI key, before running anything.
  • Review the evidence behind each recommendation rather than accepting the ranking blindly; dismiss items that are irrelevant so the output improves.
  • Keep the default 120-minute cadence or run it on demand; unchanged inputs cost no model call.
