What it does

Once installed, the agent acts as an OKR (Objectives and Key Results) coach. You give it team goals or a rough list of things you want to do, and it asks about the quarter, team level and any parent goals, then drafts 3-5 objectives with 2-4 measurable key results each. It builds an Excel workbook with an OKR sheet (progress calculated by formula), an Alignment sheet linking to parent goals, and an empty weekly Review log, then comments on weak KRs such as tasks disguised as results. It is designed not to invent baselines or confidence scores; it flags missing data for you to supply.

Great for

  • Team leads or managers preparing a quarterly or half-year OKR set
  • Teams that keep writing task lists instead of measurable results and want a review
  • People new to OKRs who want a structured starting draft to edit

Skip it if

  • Final decisions on OKRs tied to performance reviews: the skill itself says this follows company policy and gives no recommendation, so check your HR rules
  • Teams whose goals span several departments without first being split: the skill asks for separation and may produce less useful output for a mixed brief
  • Anyone expecting it to know real company data: it only works from what you type, so invented or missing baselines must be filled in by you

Try asking

  • “Turn these team goals into this quarter's OKR table”
  • “Check whether this set of OKRs is measurable”
  • “Build a 2025 Q3 OKR workbook for our customer support squad from these notes”
  • “Review my key results and tell me which ones are really just tasks”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    okr-planner.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip okr-planner.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip okr-planner.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Provide baselines (current numbers) up front; otherwise rows are marked 'baseline pending' and progress cannot be calculated.
  • Give the parent company or department OKR if one exists so each objective can be aligned to it.
  • Keep the Confidence column as your own honest score; the draft leaves it blank or as an example value on purpose.
