What it does
Once installed, the agent acts as a budget-planning specialist. It asks for the scope, period, currency and tax basis, then lists the key assumptions for you to confirm before building anything. It produces an Excel workbook with separate Assumptions, Detail, Summary and Change log sheets, where amounts are calculated by formulas so changing one assumption updates the whole budget. It also reports the total, the top three accounts and the assumptions with the biggest impact.
Great for
- Finance or operations staff preparing an annual department budget from a business plan
- Project managers who need a budget workbook for a project's spend
- Anyone who wants traceable formulas and documented assumptions rather than hard-coded totals
Skip it if
- Formal financial submissions or tax filings without review: the skill says tax rates and social-insurance ratios must be checked by a tax or finance professional under current local rules
- Situations where you want the agent to invent unit prices or growth rates: the skill is written to leave these blank and mark them [to confirm] instead
Try asking
- “Build next year's department budget from this business plan”
- “Turn this project's spend into a budget workbook”
- “Model a conservative and an aggressive version of this annual budget”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Provide your chart of accounts and same-period historical data up front so the agent does not have to guess categories or year-over-year comparisons.
- Review the Key assumptions list carefully before the workbook is built, since the skill will not populate anything until you confirm each line.
- Check every assumption marked 'estimate' or '[to confirm]' and have a finance professional review the tax and social-insurance treatment before any formal use.
