What it does

When installed, the agent works as a market analyst for any product or opportunity you name. It estimates the total market (TAM), the slice your product could realistically serve (SAM), and the share you could plausibly win in 1-3 years (SOM). It calculates each figure two ways, top-down from industry totals and bottom-up from customers times price, then reconciles them, lists the assumptions behind the numbers, and flags where confidence is low. It can also search the web for current industry data when asked.

Great for

  • Founders or product managers preparing an investor pitch or business case
  • Students or analysts learning how TAM, SAM and SOM are estimated
  • Teams deciding whether to enter a new market or region

Skip it if

  • Precise financial forecasting: the output is a structured estimate built on assumptions and web sources, which can be outdated or inaccurate, so figures should be verified before being relied on in filings or investment decisions
  • Markets with no public data, where the agent may fill gaps with plausible-sounding but unsupported numbers

Try asking

  • “Estimate the TAM, SAM and SOM for a B2B invoicing app for freelancers in Europe”
  • “Size the addressable market for plant-based protein snacks in the UK, with top-down and bottom-up estimates”
  • “Prepare market sizing for an investor pitch for an AI tutoring product for high-school students”
  • “Evaluate whether entering the US market for my meal-kit startup is worth it”

No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give a specific product, customer type, and geography, since narrow constraints produce more useful estimates than broad markets
  • Paste in any reports, financial data or competitor information you already have so the agent uses your sources before searching
  • Ask the agent to list its key assumptions and check the most uncertain ones yourself using the data sources it recommends
