What it does
It teaches an AI agent to keep notes and wiki pages in a three-folder layout: raw sources that are never edited, compiled wiki pages, and an archive for outdated pages. Each number, date, or quote in a wiki page must link to its source, and the agent can check that the exact text appears there. Each page also records the git commit it was written against, so a single git diff shows whether the code it describes has changed since.
Great for
- Developers maintaining documentation or architecture notes that must match the code
- Researchers or analysts who need every figure in a compiled summary to be checkable against its source
- Teams that want durable project knowledge that agents update without losing history
Skip it if
- Casual note-taking, since the header, link, and check rules add overhead (the overhead is the point, but it is wasted on simple notes)
- Projects not stored in git, because the drift check depends on git commit history
- Session memory or task tracking, which the skill itself says belongs to other tools
Try asking
- “Compile these meeting transcripts into a wiki page on the Q3 roadmap and link every figure to its raw source.”
- “Check whether our authentication wiki page is still accurate against the current src/auth code.”
- “Archive the outdated billing architecture page and record the reason in log.md.”
- “Set up a pre-commit check so no wiki page lands with an unverifiable number.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review scripts/check_vault.py and references/details.md before running the check, since neither was included in the files reviewed for this assessment.
- Wire the grounding and drift checks into a pre-commit hook or CI step so they run on every change.
- Never let an agent weaken a claim to pass the check; fix the source link or remove the claim instead.
