What it does
This skill gives an AI agent the house rules for working on the gentle-ai project's benchmark "journey" tests, which script realistic end-to-end use of the product. Once installed, the agent knows that a passing unit-style check does not prove a journey actually runs, so it builds the product binary and runs the bench harness against it, and it follows the project's rules on journey IDs, review settings, and stale expectations.
Great for
- Contributors to the gentle-ai repository who write or change bench journeys
- Maintainers diagnosing a bench failure in CI's Unit Tests job
- Reviewers who need PR evidence that journeys were executed, not only declared
Skip it if
- People outside the gentle-ai project, since it assumes its specific files, CI workflow and Go test layout
- General Go or testing work unrelated to the bench corpus, because the rules are project-specific
- Anyone expecting the skill itself to run tests for them; it only guides the agent, and the commands it mentions must be run by the user or agent in a suitable environment
Try asking
- “Add a new journey for the review-switch behaviour in bench/ and tell me which journey ID is unused”
- “A product semantic changed; find journeys in the corpus that still pin the old behaviour”
- “My Unit Tests job failed on bench; reproduce CI's exact build and gentle-ai-bench run commands”
- “Write the PR body evidence for my journey change, including the driven-mode summary line”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point the agent at the specific journeys_*.go file or CI step you are changing so it reads the right corpus area first
- Ask for both the go test result and the driven-mode summary line, since the skill treats them as different evidence
- Run the harness yourself on a local build when the agent cannot execute commands, and paste the summary into the PR
