What it does

When installed, the agent treats questions like 'who knows about this?' or 'where is the source of truth?' as internal-routing tasks. It searches connected company knowledge bases, messaging tools and CRM for the most authoritative owner, document, or channel, ranks the candidates by ownership and freshness, and returns a short routing map with a draft first message to send. It is designed to be read-only: it does not post messages, assign work or update systems.

Great for

  • Sales reps who need to find the right internal expert or approved document quickly
  • Sales ops or enablement teams who want consistent routing for customer and product questions

Skip it if

  • Setups without connected internal tools (knowledge base, messaging, CRM), since the skill depends on those sources and cannot invent owners or channels
  • Anyone expecting it to make decisions or send messages on their behalf, because the workflow is explicitly read-only and only recommends routes

Try asking

  • “Who owns pricing approval for a multi-year enterprise deal? Find the right owner and channel.”
  • “Where is the source-of-truth page for our SSO implementation FAQ?”
  • “Which internal channel should I use to escalate a competitive objection about a rival's API limits?”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Find Key Internal SourcesInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 4 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    find-key-internal-sources.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip find-key-internal-sources.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip find-key-internal-sources.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Name the customer, product area, or task explicitly so the skill can pick the smallest route (owner, doc, channel, or full map).
  • Provide any internal terminology or aliases you use, since the skill only applies company-specific names it has been given or can see in connected sources.
  • Review the suggested owner before contacting them; the skill ranks candidates by signals in the sources and can be wrong about current responsibilities.
