How to use the Find Key Internal Sources agent skill
Updated · written with AI from the project's own documentation and checked against our catalogue data
Find Key Internal Sources is an agent skill, a packaged set of instructions that an AI agent loads when a request matches its description. This guide explains what the skill does, how to install it from a ZIP file, how to ask for it in plain language, and what to check before you rely on its output. By the end you will be able to get a routing map that points you to the right internal expert, document or channel for a sales question.
Quick start
- 1Download the ZIP. Download the skill's ZIP file from this page.
- 2Unzip it into a skills folder. For a personal install, unzip into ~/.claude/skills/. For a single project, unzip into that project's .claude/skills/ folder.
- 3Or upload it in the Claude apps. In the Claude apps, open Settings, go to Capabilities, then Skills, and upload the ZIP.
- 4Connect your internal sources. Connect your knowledge or files source, messaging tool and CRM through the agent's connectors. Each one is optional, but results are limited to what is connected.
- 5Ask a routing question. Describe the topic or task in plain language and ask who owns it, what to read, or where the source of truth is.
- 6Review the routing map. Check each candidate's rationale, link and freshness before acting on it.
- 7Send the draft yourself. Copy the draft first message and send it to the owner or channel. The skill does not post it for you.
What the skill makes the agent do
When a seller asks questions like 'who knows about this?', 'what should I read?', 'where is the source of truth?' or 'which internal channel or document should I use?', the skill tells the agent to treat the request as an internal-routing task. The agent searches connected company knowledge bases, messaging tools and CRM for the most authoritative owner, document or channel. It then ranks the candidates by ownership and freshness.
The result is a short routing map and a draft first message you can send to the best owner or public channel. The agent drafts the message in chat. It does not post it for you.
- Experts and owners: directly responsible individuals, approvers and subject matter experts
- Documents: maintained source-of-truth pages, wikis, playbooks, FAQs and runbooks
- Channels: public channels, support channels, escalation routes and decision forums
What you need before you start
The skill depends on internal sources. Without them, it cannot find real owners or channels and should not invent them. The sources are connected through the agent's connectors and are optional individually, but the skill is only useful if at least one is connected.
The MiMo-Code agent environment or another agent that reads SKILL.md files is required.
- A connected internal knowledge or files source, such as a wiki (optional)
- A connected internal messaging tool (optional)
- A connected CRM, used for account identity and deal context (optional)
- The MiMo-Code agent environment or another SKILL.md-compatible agent
How to install the skill
Download the ZIP file for the skill from this page. Then install it using one of the two methods below.
For a personal install, unzip the file into your ~/.claude/skills/ folder. To limit the skill to one project, unzip it into that project's .claude/skills/ folder instead.
In the Claude apps, you can instead upload the ZIP under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
- Personal install: unzip into ~/.claude/skills/
- Project install: unzip into the project's .claude/skills/
- Claude apps: Settings → Capabilities → Skills, then upload the ZIP
How to trigger the skill with natural requests
You do not need a special command. The skill matches requests that look like internal routing questions. Describe the customer question, product topic, objection, implementation issue or account task in plain words, and ask who owns it, what to read, or where the source of truth lives.
The skill needs a concrete topic. If your request is vague, the agent makes a limited first pass, then asks you one question with up to five candidate topics.
- Who knows about pricing exceptions for multi-year renewals?
- Where is the source of truth for our data residency answer?
- Which internal channel should I use to escalate an integration bug for Acme?
- What should I read before I answer a competitor objection about onboarding time?
What the output looks like
Each candidate is labelled by its answer-path type, such as DRI, approver, SME, maintainer, decision forum or support channel. A one-line rationale, a direct link when one is available, and a note on evidence and freshness explain why it was chosen.
If your question touches two areas, such as product guidance and policy, the agent may split it into two routes and say so. The last part of the output is a draft first message you can copy and send yourself.
- Route type and candidate name
- One-line rationale and a link when available
- Evidence signal and freshness or confidence
- Draft first message, written in chat and not posted
Safety notes: scripts and network access
The skill is read-only. It does not post messages, assign work or update systems. It only recommends routes, so any action is still yours to take.
The skill does not run scripts. It does use the network, because it queries your connected knowledge, messaging and CRM tools. Only people who have access to those tools will see results that depend on them. The skill excludes deactivated or inactive users and, by default, uses public channels only. It considers people found mainly through messages only if they show a signal from roughly the last 90 days.
- Read-only: no posting, assigning or updating
- Runs scripts: no
- Uses network: yes, through your connected tools
- Default scope: public channels; private channels and direct messages only when you explicitly ask
Tips for better routing results
Give the topic, the account if there is one, and the action you want to take. A route for 'who approves discount exceptions' is more precise than 'pricing help'.
Use the terms your company actually uses, including older or abbreviated product names. The skill can apply these only when you supply them or when they appear in connected sources. It does not know your internal names in advance.
Check the links and the freshness note before you message someone. The skill prefers maintained pages over chat mentions, but a recent owner can still have moved on.
- Name the account, product area and goal in one request
- Add internal aliases or legacy names if you know them
- Open the top linked document before you send the draft
What people use it for
- A seller needs the approver for a non-standard discount before a call.
- A rep wants the approved document for answering a competitor objection.
- An implementation lead must find the escalation channel for an integration issue on a named account.
- Sales enablement checks which page is the source of truth for a product FAQ and who maintains it.
- A sales ops team wants consistent routing for recurring customer and product questions.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Find Key Internal Sources skill free to use?
The skill is released under the MIT licence, which is stated on this page. Check the licence file in the download for full terms. The skill itself does not state any price.
What do I need installed to use this skill?
You need the MiMo-Code agent environment or another agent that reads SKILL.md files. For useful results you also need at least one connected internal source, such as a knowledge base, messaging tool or CRM.
Can the skill post messages or change my CRM?
No. The workflow is read-only and never posts, assigns or updates systems. It recommends routes and drafts a first message in chat that you send yourself.
Where do I put the skill folder after downloading?
Unzip the ZIP into ~/.claude/skills/ for a personal install, or into the project's .claude/skills/ folder for one project. In the Claude apps, you can upload the ZIP under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
Why does the skill return no owner or channel for my question?
Usually no connected source contains a clear owner or channel for that topic. The skill is designed not to invent owners or channels, so connect the right knowledge, messaging or CRM source and try again with more specific terms.
Does the skill run scripts or access the internet?
It does not run scripts. It does use the network to query the internal tools you have connected, such as your knowledge base, messaging tool and CRM.

Our verdict
This skill suits sales reps who need the right internal expert or approved document quickly, and sales ops or enablement teams who want consistent routing. It is a poor fit if you have no connected internal tools, because it cannot find owners or channels without them. If you want an agent that makes decisions or sends messages for you, pick a different tool, since this one only recommends routes.
