What it does

When you ask for a morning prep, the agent checks your calendar for today, loads what your personal knowledge base (the gbrain brain) already knows about each meeting attendee, and looks for unresolved items from yesterday. It also pulls your P0 and P1 tasks and compiles them into one actionable briefing. If Google mail or calendar sources are connected, it prefers the gbrain waiting command for open threads and refuses to use stale data.

Great for

  • People who want a single morning summary of meetings, follow-ups and top priorities
  • Users already running gbrain with calendar, mail and an ops/tasks page in their brain
  • Teams who keep attendee notes in a knowledge base and want them surfaced before meetings

Skip it if

  • Users without a gbrain setup: the skill depends on brain pages, timelines and search tools that will return nothing otherwise
  • Anyone expecting it to create or change tasks or calendar events: the file marks it non-mutating and it only reads and summarises
  • Sensitive contexts where pre-loaded notes on other people could be surfaced inadvertently; review what the brain holds first

Try asking

  • “Morning prep”
  • “What's on my plate today?”
  • “Prepare for today, including context on each attendee”
  • “Day prep: list open threads from yesterday and my P0 and P1 tasks”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Daily Task PrepInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    daily-task-prep.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip daily-task-prep.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip daily-task-prep.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Keep the ops/tasks page current and use P0/P1 labels so priority ordering works
  • Connect Google sources first so open threads come from the waiting command rather than guesses
  • If the agent says the brain is in keyword-only mode, treat missing attendee context as unknown rather than absent
