What it does
When you have a .NET solution that uses Oracle databases and want to move to PostgreSQL, this skill tells the agent to scan every project in the solution, decide which ones contain Oracle code or settings and need migrating, and mark the rest as skipped, already migrated, or test projects. It then asks you to confirm the list and saves a structured Markdown plan file that other migration tools can read, including a suggested migration order where shared libraries come before the projects that depend on them.
Great for
- Engineering leads starting a multi-project Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration who need a project inventory
- Developers who want to find which .NET projects reference Oracle packages, connection strings or Oracle classes
Skip it if
- Single small projects where a manual check is quicker than a formal plan
- Teams that have not yet decided to migrate: the skill assumes the migration is happening and writes files into the repository, so it adds clutter if the decision is still open
- Non-.NET codebases, since the skill only looks for .sln/.csproj structures and Oracle .NET packages
Try asking
- “Create a master migration plan for the .NET solution in this workspace from Oracle to PostgreSQL”
- “Scan my solution and tell me which projects still have Oracle dependencies”
- “Classify each project in MyApp.sln for Oracle migration eligibility and suggest a migration order”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run it from the repository root so the solution file and the .github output folder are found correctly
- Review the classification list at the confirmation step, since keyword matching may mislabel projects that mention Oracle only in comments or shared utilities
- If you have already run an external tool such as ora2pg, mention it so the plan records that the schema migration phase can be skipped
