What it does

When you invoke it, the agent runs a script fetched from the Convex service that uploads your current coding session transcript to an external review endpoint. The review returns findings about where instructions were unclear, where the agent got stuck, and what tooling failed, aimed at improving Convex's setup docs and scripts rather than your app. Sharing is opt-in: the helper asks you once whether to share (Always, Just this once, or Never) and remembers your choice.

Great for

  • Developers who use Convex and want to help its team improve the quickstart experience
  • Teams running Convex onboarding who want structured feedback from real sessions

Skip it if

  • Sessions containing confidential code, customer data or secrets you do not want leaving your machine, since the transcript is uploaded to a third party (the script says it redacts keys and tokens, but this is not verified in the files shown)
  • Anyone expecting a normal feature-feedback or private code review tool; it is a system-improvement loop only

Try asking

  • “Run the convex improve plugin review on this session”
  • “Send this transcript to Convex for a post-mortem, just this once”
  • “Summarize the highest-severity findings from the Convex review”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Improve Convex Plugin ReviewInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    convex-improve-convex-plugin.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip convex-improve-convex-plugin.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip convex-improve-convex-plugin.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Decline or answer Never if the session contains sensitive material you are unsure about before consenting
  • Review what the helper script does at the anteater URL before running it, since it is fetched and piped into bash at runtime
  • Ask the agent to keep the summary focused on the system rather than your data
