What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to keep a written file of your coffee taste and your brewing gear, then use them to suggest coffees, find new ones that fit, answer brew questions, and log the coffees you like. Instead of guessing from memory, the agent checks each suggestion against the rules in your taste profile and what your grinder and brewer can actually do. Favorites you confirm are kept separate from coffees the agent merely thinks you might enjoy.
Great for
- Home brewers who want picks matched to their own taste notes and equipment
- People who keep a running list of coffees they have tried and want it maintained automatically
- Anyone who wants brew ratio or grind advice tied to a specific setup
Skip it if
- Ordering coffee online or visiting cafes: the description routes cafe and ordering requests to a separate Restaurants skill, so this will not handle purchases
- Users with no written taste profile or gear notes: the skill depends on those files and will mostly answer from what the request states
Try asking
- “Recommend a coffee for me today, I want something bright and fruity”
- “Find new coffees beyond my usual roaster that fit my taste profile”
- “How should I brew for the taste I like with my current grinder?”
- “Add this coffee to my list, I loved the Harbor Blend”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run the first-time setup in Setup.md so the agent has a taste corpus and gear notes to read
- Write hard rules in the Taste Profile section, such as roast range or brew methods you do not use, so they are respected
- Say explicitly when you love a coffee, since only your own word turns a candidate into a confirmed favorite
