What it does
Once installed, the agent writes a structured product requirements document for a large feature or 'epic' when you describe an idea. The document covers the problem, goals, user personas, user journeys, functional and non-functional requirements, success metrics, scope exclusions and business value, and is saved as a Markdown file. The agent asks clarifying questions when the idea is vague, so the result is meant to be a starting point for engineering planning rather than a finished spec.
Great for
- Product managers drafting an epic before handing it to engineering
- Developers or leads who need a consistent requirements template quickly
- Students learning how a product requirements document is structured
Skip it if
- Teams needing verified market data or metrics: the skill only produces text from the prompt and does not research facts, so generated KPIs and value estimates need checking.
- Small, single-feature tasks, since the template is designed for large-scale epics and will be heavyweight.
Try asking
- “Write an epic PRD for adding single sign-on to our SaaS admin console”
- “Draft an Epic PRD for a self-serve billing upgrade flow, asking me clarifying questions first”
- “Create a PRD for an in-app onboarding checklist and save it under docs/ways-of-work/plan”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent a clear epic idea plus any known target users so the personas and journeys are less generic.
- Review the generated success metrics and business value, since they are estimates the agent makes without data.
- The skill writes to a path under docs/ways-of-work/plan; make sure the agent has permission to create files there, or adjust the location.
